Barbera International Chess Open is a chess tournament that is played every year in Barbera del Valles. The tournament, organized by Club Escacs Barberà, is played by the Swiss system in nine rounds and is valid for Elo FIDE, FEDA and FCE. The Open is computable for the Catalan Open International Chess Circuit. The 2015 edition had a prize bag of 6,000 euros. The edition number 40 was celebrated this year 2017.
